CHRISTMAS DAY DEC 25, 2008
Today was Christmas Day. This outreach was truly blessed to see so many dedicated volunteers with a heart for the homeless give their Christmas morning to serve up some homemade muffins and cookies, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, coffee and soup. One man was so touched we showed up that he cried.
25 volunteers in 13 cars served it up and then went roaming to spread some Christmas cheer. First at the abandoned UPT, then to Tasha, Maleek, Dereek, and Qualeek, then to Hutch and crew, then to Mrs Minny’s, then to the levee to see Richard, then to Glenn and Lenny’s, then to Sandra’s, then to Obrien House and New Inspiration.
Words are not sufficient to say Thank You for being a part of the No Place Outreach Of Healing Place Church to reach the Homeless on the streets of Baton Rouge. With your help each week we have served up well over 6,000 meals and given away coats, shoes, blankets and most hopefully touched the lives of many of God's forgotten people.
So we want to thank YOU FOR COOKING, FOR SERVING, FOR ROAMING, FOR PRAYING AND FOR REACHING OUT and being a friend to the homeless. That is PRICELESS in God's eyes.
You are Kingdom Givers and we pray God protects and guides you in 2009 to know and do his will....
